ALBUMS

Summer (2014)

Picture
In 2004 I started working maintenance for a Salvation Army summer camp in Northern California. I lived on site in a camper trailer and I wrote the majority of these songs there. In that time, I experienced a lot, I met a ton of great people and will always regard that time as the summer of my life. I had always planned on making a record with these songs, but didn't have the means. Eventually I was able to scrap together enough equipment to do it myself. I probably started recording this album in 2012, then whenever I got another mic or found a better way to do something, I'd restart the process. It was pretty slow going trying to record an entire album myself, while working full time and making time for family. A few months ago I gave myself a deadline to finish it by the first day of summer. At 11:59pm on June 20th I finished the last little adjustment on the album and hit save just as the clock struck midnight.

A special thanks to Chris Page for his contributions on tracks 2 and 9, He is probably the best drummer I know and one of my closest friends, He gets it.
